U20 national team player Neil Gruppetta is set to get a taste of the Swedish school of handball for a few months, as in a few days he departs for Stockholm, Sweden as part of a collaboration with Josef Bredell Training Camp and Skogås Handball Club.
This invitation will give Neil the opportunity to train with Skogås Handball Club as well as some other clubs based in the Stockholm area. Neil Gruppetta has recently been named in the All-Star senior team by the Malta Handball Association as the centre back of choice, apart from being named MVP in the U21 Men’s league category.
We augur this handball opportunity widens the horizons for Neil and other similar promising players from the handball scene in Malta to get a taste of handball in higher and more challenging environments, which will contribute to the overall improvement in the handball played locally and within the national team camps.
