All three Maltese EHF delegates have been nominated by the European Handball Federation to officiate international matches this weekend.
Marylyn Agius will be delegating a Women’s EHF European Cup double match in Italy, precisely in Pontinia where hosts HC Cassa Rurale Pontinia face Swiss team LK Zug Handball. Referees for both matches are Ioannis Fotakidis and Charalampos Kinatzidis from Greece.
Matthew Mamo will be in Malaga, Spain for the Women’s EHF European League Qualification Round 2 second leg match between hosts Costa del Sol Malaga and SCM Gloria Buzau from Romania. Christian Hannes and David Hannes from Germany are the referees for the match.
Alan Grima will be on assignment in Pescara, Italy for the Men’s EURO 2024 Qualification Phase 2 Group 8 match between Italy and France. France is reigning Olympic champions and placed fourth in the last EHF EUROs and World Championships. The referees nominated for the match are Premysl Fukala and Radek Mohyla from Czech Republic.
