Over the weekend, the Malta Handball Association hosted a mini-handball festival for children under 10 at the Tal-Qroqq Sports Hall. This event was part of a series of mini-handball competitions held throughout the season.

Children from various clubs and schools across Malta and Gozo participated in
the festival, enjoying and experiencing a number of handball matches on the day.

These mini-handball festivals are a key part of the MHA’s long-term strategy to develop handball locally. Thanks to support from the Central Government and the European Handball Federation, the sport has seen significant growth, particularly among young players in the under 8, 10, and 13 categories. Over 20 festivals are planned and are being organised for this year alone.
