The course forms part of a comprehensive coach education programme that includes modules delivered by EHF experts, the Association’s Technical Director, and experienced local coaches.  Falling under the Association’s initiatives within the EHF Master Plan, the programme is designed to further develop the technical, tactical, and managerial competencies required to coach at an advanced level.

The response to the Level 2 Coaching Course has been very encouraging, with qualified local and foreign coaches registering to take part, underlining the growing interest in structured, high-level coach education in Malta.  The course is also being delivered in conjunction with the recently launched National Coaching Licence, which also registered a strong response from local coaches and which is fully aligned with the EHF Master Plan.

Commenting on the initiative, Daniel Tabone, President of the Malta Handball Association, said:  “The strong response to this course reflects the appetite among coaches to continue developing their skills within a structured, internationally recognised framework. Hosting an EHF expert of Allan Heine’s calibre, alongside our Technical Director and local coaches, is a significant step in raising coaching standards and ensuring long-term growth for Maltese handball.”

The Malta Handball Association remains committed to investing in coach education as a cornerstone of sustainable development, in line with European Handball Federation guidelines and long-term strategic objectives.
