On Friday 23rd of June 2023 , the Malta Handball Association celebrated the remarkable accomplishments of various teams, officials, and players throughout the exciting handball season of 2022-2023 at the annual Awards event. The event also highlighted the key organized activities and diverse projects undertaken throughout the exciting season.

Mr. Alan Grima, Operations Director of the Malta Handball Association presented the
certificates to the newly qualified referees who have successfully completed the Level 1
Refereeing Course during the season.

Mr. John Falzon, General Secretary of the Malta Handball Association presented certificates
to the recently qualified coaches who have demonstrated their proficiency by successfully
completing the Level 1 Coaching Course. Mr. John Falzon also presented tokens of
appreciation to the Mini-Handball Project coordinators from each club and the players on
the Women’s All-Star Team.

The dedicated members of both the men and women’s national teams’ staff were presented
with a token of appreciation by Mr. Diogo Castro, Development and Technical Director of
the Malta Handball Association.

Mr. Ian Psaila, Vice-President of the MHA awarded the top scorers of each category, the Fair
Play Award and the President’s Award.

Special guests for the event, Honarary MP and Spokesperson for Sport and Public
Broadcasting Mr. Graham Bencini awarded the players on the Men’s All-Star Team and
SportMalta Deputy CEO Ms. RoseMarie Mercieca awarded the MVPs in different categories.
